As the Director, NRG Brand Marketing/NIKE Lab, you will develop, direct and manage team goals that align with the company goals. You will lead the Category Brand plan and category strategy. You will transform the marketing global strategy and direction into categorical and seasonal goes to market execution. As the category consumer expert, you will maintain close relationships with key consumer groups, sports marketing, event marketing, regional marketing teams and field reps input insights into overall category brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of key brand experiences in North America – this could include innovation in commerce, service, experience and media. • Understand consumer needs, identify a market opportunity, define the vision, and influence the team on a digital-first strategy and execution. • Communicate and align strategy with key internal and external stakeholders. This means being a self-starter and go-getter. Lead the conversation. • Overall, run point on how the NRG and Nikelab voice comes to life across digital and physical platforms, and athlete and influencer channels. • Overcome any obstacle in your path, and deliver awesomely.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline • 8 years' progressive management experience with a combination of corporate retail, visual merchandising, product merchandising, brand marketing and retail sales • 8 years of work experience in advertising, media, journalism, digital platforms, consumer electronics, user experience design, and/or fashion and digital retail. • Marketing execution experience in territory or geo • Demonstrated ability to put content in front of consumers • Concrete experience managing complex projects and programs that have heavy dependencies requiring strong leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders • High attention to detail including proven ability to document requirements and to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously • Ability to think strategically and ask the right, sometimes difficult questions. • Strong team-orientation, no egos allowed! • Superior verbal and written communications skills • A keen eye for design with creative passion. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a way of life • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team win • Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape • Proactive, solutions-oriented. Desired Qualifications: • Experience developing cross-channel marketing campaigns in fashion, retail, lifestyle, youth marketing, entertainment, health and/or tech fields. • Live the function: have a strong point of view on digital platforms/commerce and a strong knowledge of the latest trends. Candidates should personally use mobile apps, social media, blogs and wearable tech regularly.
