Baristas are responsible for maintaining the café and providing exceptional customer service to all customers in a friendly and helpful manner. They should be knowledgeable about café products and other merchandise in the store, proactively seek to assist customers, and provide an outstanding shopping experience. Core competencies include: interpersonal skills, self-management, and communication. Baristas report to the General Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Provide exceptional and prompt customer service.
· Craft Joe Muggs beverages according to quality standards outlined in the café communication binder.
· Maintain visual merchandising guidelines for all café related merchandise.
· Achieve ‘Limited time’ offer goals, Millionaires Club membership, comparative sales, Magazines for Millionaires, and the level of customer service in the café and bookstore.
· Clean café equipment, floors, utensils, and counters. Recover the café area during each shift, including, but not limited to picking up items, shelving product and books, and other cafe housekeeping tasks as required.
· Adhere to all loss prevention standards and acting with integrity in all transactions.
· Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to assisting in other departments and small fixture assembly and maintenance.
