The primary responsibility of this role is to perform all necessary clerical and support for shipping, filling administration and inventory functions which includes a complete working knowledge of the Wits applications for the shipping, filling and receiving functions.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Initiating computer generated address labels for all shipments
· Handling advance shipping notice transactions to customers
· Contacting carriers to schedule shipments and provides carriers with necessary pickup and delivery information
· Distribute and oversee work flow and communicates to building associates
· Generate filling labels through GPS and WITS applications for plant production batches
· Maintain responsibility for timely batch certifications through Tandem applications
· Contribute to maintaining a high level of 5S in work area.
· Must be knowledgeable with inter-company departments to ensure accurate up-to-date shipping information for carriers
This position is scheduled Monday-Thursday (10 hours shift) 8:00pm-6:30am
Required Qualifications:
· Mathematical and grammar skills equivalent to a high school graduate
· Typing accuracy and computer data entry skills
Required Skills:
· Incumbent needs to be tactful and courteous in dealing with representatives of outside carriers and possess strong interpersonal communication skills and provide great attention to detail.
· The successful candidate should have strong organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility and an ability to establish priorities and accomplish a variety of duties in a timely manner with minimum supervision
· Working knowledge of all Wits applications for the functions performed in the office at Strongsville warehouse and Cleveland Building 28 Distribution
· Training, testing, and certification as proficient in Dept. of Transportation regulations relating to warehouse distribution functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior shipping/clerical experience.
