You’ll be given the opportunity to grow personally and professionally while building your resume through practical work experience with a Fortune 500 Company. The Professional Apprentice® position is located in downtown Cleveland at our Corporate Headquarters. Position requires full year enlistment and a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week up to 28 hours per week.

 

The Project Management Professional Apprentice® is an individual and team contributor who will work in tandem with project managers and program managers (PMs) to support the completion of projects. The incumbent will learn key project management principles by participating in all phases of the project management process.  This position will support the PMs in all aspects of the daily management of various types of projects, ensuring a unified view of various project portfolios.

 

 

Essential Functions

 

Strategy & Planning

  • Review/create presentations to present information to project participants or project stakeholders.
  • Create/maintain a project information repository.

 

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Support the project managers in their efforts to deliver all project scope items on time and on budget with zero defects.
  • Support/assist the users of the enterprise PMO tools.

 

 

Operational Management

  • Communicate project information to stakeholders.
  • Identify resource requirements.
  • Help align the project team on project scope.
  • Review/create/populate templates used to collect information from project participants.
  • Review/populate information collected for the PMO about project details.
  • Review/edit project artifacts (documentation).
  • Schedule meetings for projects participants.
  • Schedule and acquire resources needed for meetings.
  • Create/distribute meeting minutes.
  • Input Diversified Brand maintenance requests into PPM & Trac.

Incidental Functions

  • Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work
  • Attend meetings with the PMs as requested.

 

 

Position Requirements

 

Formal Education & Certification

  • Currently enrolled in college degree program and actively working toward an Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree in related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Graduation date on or after August 2016.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Familiarity with various Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint.   
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project is beneficial.
