The
Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a IT Senior Performance Test Analyst in Cleveland,
Ohio.
Summary of Duties:
Implement Software and Performance
Testing best practices as it supports The Sherwin-Williams Company. This
includes an ongoing analysis of best practices and tools to be used by the
Performance Testing team. Work closely
and maintain strong working relationships with the Software Development and
Database Administration Teams, as well as the Business Owners/Customers as
needed to obtain testing specifications and deliver performance testing
results. Assist as needed on any project where performance testing assistance
is requested. Provide guidance and
leadership to the Performance Testing Team in performance testing best
practices and use of performance testing tools.
Coordinate the development and execution of performance and load tests
to support all software applications and web sites and applications. Develop, maintain, and utilize best practices
in performance and load testing. Develop, maintain, and utilize standards in
reporting of performance and load testing results including reports, graphs, charts
and presentation materials. Collaborate with software and web engineers,
project managers, and system owners for test planning and test execution.
Assist with the development and execution of automated tests or data loads
(Performance test/VuGen scripts and QTP/BPT) that support automated testing or
data loads performed in all software applications. Provide assistance with the installation and
training of team members on software testing tools. Provide support to the QA effort on Test
automation projects (Domestic & Global) including performance testing,
automation of regression tests and utilize the HP testing tools. Perform load testing and associated reporting
on web sites, web applications, Oracle applications, and other software
applications. Gather and analyze performance test requirements, write
performance tests, and design and execute performance tests. Maintain the
existing performance test assets. Ensure
all defects found in performance testing are recorded, reported, tracked, and
processed in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). Partner with Application and Project Teams in
the analysis of performance results and logs. Conduct performance result
reviews and provide recommended tuning opportunities. Provide support to the Network Team by
developing and maintaining VuGen scripts that enable network traffic and
responses to be monitored and captured.
Assist in the testing, maintenance and upgrade of the HP performance
testing tool. Assist with the troubleshooting
of Performance Testing issues where an HP ticket has been created. Provide
assistance in an upgrade or patch application for Performance Center and other
HP test tools. Provide guidance and
instruction to junior staff members and Professional Apprentices in testing
best practices and test tool usage.
Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to
efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
Attend meetings on behalf of team.
Assist in test tool evaluation as may be needed. 10% of domestic and international travel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or
related field of study and five (5) years experience in the job offered or five
(5) years experience in information technology or related role. Demonstrated
experience must include: Software Quality Assurance; LoadRunner or Performance
Center for performance testing; developing and executing VuGen scripts for
performance testing and data loading; creating performance tests with Web
Protocols (http/https), Flex, Java, Web Logic, Oracle ADF Applications, Web
Center, Oracle EBS/ERP, and NCA protocols; test plan and test case formulation;
report creation defect tracking, and business requirement gathering; and
experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
of application.
