Lead BPM Architect (Global Enterprise Applications)

The Lead BPM Architect (Global Enterprise Applications) is responsible for leading the design and development of integration solutions for flow of information between Oracle ERP and other external systems. The external systems include Oracle E-Business Suite, IBM MQ, Service Bus, Java Web Services, Java APIs, as well as other products and technologies. Must have strong knowledge and experience with developing applications using SOA and J2EE architectures. Develop processes, guidelines and framework for rapid development and deployment of services. Lead the projects through all phases of SDLC by working with the business users, software developers and infrastructure teams. Conduct detailed research of vendor products and assists with general project management. Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

 
Essential Functions
 
Strategy & Planning
  • Work with management to generate quarterly work plans.
  • Provide technical leadership to the developers working on multiple concurrent projects and support activities.
  • Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the existing integrations.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices, standard processes and local variations due to customer, legal or business mandates.
  • Strives to keep knowledge and expertise current with new releases, technology advances and analyzes potential opportunities and risks in adopting upcoming versions of software.
  • Actively engage business management to understand vision and ensure business needs are met.
  • Research tools to identify those that can best help serve the needs of clients.

 Acquisition & Deployment
  • Gather requirements, analyze, create design documents, and perform impact analysis for application changes.
  • Plan and organize tasks, reports progress, manages and coordinates with consultants for implementations.
  • Develop automated build and deployment solutions for Oracle SOA and Web applications.
  • Contribute to pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations.
  • Track project deliverables and meet dedicated timelines.

Operational Management

  • Lead the solution design and implementation of BPM and Integration projects.
  • Develop integration solutions to ensure reliable flow of information between Oracle ERP & other Enterprise systems.
  • Develop and document design documents.
  • Work with business teams and external systems
  • Lead user sessions for requirement and testing
  • Assist users with problems and resolves issues independently.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues.
  • Provide business reports to management and clients.
  • Provide Level 3 support to the operations and support teams.
 Incidental Functions
  • Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
  • Attend management meetings on behalf of team.
  • Provide training and documentation for supported applications.
  • Participate in hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations and ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy.
  • Mentor other team members are requested. 
  • Up to 25% travel as required (domestic and international)

  • Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour work day as required.

Position Requirements
 

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience. 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 10 years IT experience.
  • 6 years of Hands on experience with architecture, modeling and developing Business Process management(BPM) and SOA solutions that integrate with various external systems.
  • Experience with developing models using BPM composer or BPM studio.
  • Experience with design and development of custom BPM applications following best practices for integrating BPM and ADF.
  • Experience with designing and developing complex interfaces using oracle ADF, SOA  and OSB.
  • Experience in integrating with one or more ERP systems (Oracle E-Business, SAP, etc.).
  • Significant knowledge and experience in designing and developing solutions using Oracle SOA Suite 11g/12c.
  • Advanced skills and in depth knowledge with: BPM, BPEL, BAM, OSB, ADF Faces, ADF Task flow and ADF Business components.
  • Implementation knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Repository.
  • Experience with developing ADF applications including mobile applications using Oracle Mobile application Framework.
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic and SOA suite administration; Knowledge of operating systems and Networking.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Web Center portal and content Management.
  • Experience with developing and integrating with Cloud based applications.
  • Hand-on experience of Oracle Access Manager (OAM) and Oracle Identity Manager.
