The Professional Apprentice position is located in downtown Cleveland at our Corporate Headquarters. Position requires full year enlistment and a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week up to 28 hours per week.
The Global ERP Supply-Chain Management Analyst Professional Apprentice serves in an analyst role for various projects in support of the Oracle Global ERP rollout. Works with the internal IT staff and SW business customers to conduct business process modeling, analyze system requirements, and review/produce specifications for any new projects or change requests to existing software. Develops technical objects on an as-needed basis in support of the implementation of the Global ERP rollout in areas not limited to reporting, dashboarding, systems integration, and interfaces.
Collaborates with management and development team members to ensure that they understand the specifications, documented system scenarios. Assist with the development of change management/training plans as necessary for existing and newly developed objects.
Essential Functions
Strategy & Planning
Analyze, document, and recommend improvements to existing workflows, processes, and standards.
Acquisition & Deployment
Assist in gathering requirements, analyzes, creates design documents, and performs impact analysis for application changes.
Assist in planning and organizing tasks, reports progress, manages & coordinates with consultants and senior staff for implementations.
Operational Management
Create and maintain system documentation.
Work with existing systems to track and manage requirements and issues.
Track client issues and problems, and work with others when necessary to provide a resolution.
Support data needs of the business by daily support of one or more Global ERP sub-systems.
Incidental Functions
Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
Currently enrolled in college degree program and actively working toward an Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree in related field.
Graduation date on or after May 2017.
GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Knowledge & Experience
Basic knowledge of IT.
Knowledge of software development and support methodologies.
Any and/or combination of the following skills helpful, but not required:
Project management tools to control software development phases (MS Project, etc.)
Prior experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain Management.
Prior experience in business process analysis and software fitment/solutioning.
Personal Attributes
Competent written and oral communication skills.
Ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
