Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a Painter for a Rhode Island location. The Painter’s principal duties and responsibilities include, but are limited to the following:
Prepare and paint a variety of surfaces including, aluminum, ferrous metal, interior drywall, woodwork, shop coated metal, uncoated metal, finished hardware, accessories, light fixtures, plates, and other surfaces as specified; protect and prime surfaces as appropriate.
Prepare and repair a variety of Floor Coatings such as Stonhard.
Uses a computerized maintenance e management work order system (CMMS) to open and close work orders.
Maintains tools and orders supplies as required for various equipment repairs. Keeps logs, documents equipment repairs, closes work orders, tracks time accurately in reports and provides timely and constant communication with Supervisor.
Complies with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
Clean up work areas, equipment, supplies and materials; apply standard safety practices and procedures.
Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Four to six years’ of industrial painting work experience.
An ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift 50 pounds.
Basic organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas through verbal and written form.
Ability to work with computer based controls is required.
Ability to read and understand technical material including operating manuals and standard engineering drawings is required.
Ability to complete GMP documentation and follow applicable standard operating procedures.
Experience working in a cGMP environment, preferred.
Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System - Maximo), preferred.
Competencies:
Ability to effectively communicate ideas through verbal and written form.
Knowledge of and ability to use a PC.
Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
Ability to interact constructively with peers/teams.
Ability to seek outside resources as needed.
