Position Summary:

Position Overview/Description: 

The Plant IT Analyst for Sharonville Transmission Plant is responsible for supporting several key IT systems and physical infrastructure at the plant. The facility runs nearly 24X7 producing transmissions for Ford Assembly Plants around the world. This position requires strong leadership and technical skills, and will require rotating shifts and some off-hour and weekend work. As an analyst you will:  

Responsibilities:  
 
 

  • Monitor Windows/Linux servers, Engineering class workstations (DXD), and local area network.
  • Perform application, OS and hardware upgrades on plant servers/DXDs
  • Perform IT maintenance and upgrade tasks on servers, DxD, clients and applications during non-production hours
  • Participate in multiple infrastructure and applications launches to meet the new model program deliverables
  • Interact with all leadership levels and departments of plant to ensure efficient use of IT systems and define new ways technology can be used to improve plant operations
Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications: 
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 1+ year of experience exhibiting technical knowledge of networks, servers, plant floor PCs & computer room operations
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
 
  • Experience in Application migration on servers
  • First-level support of servers, Applications and networks (for example: SFR, IVECS, FIS)
  • Knowledge/familiarity with manufacturing plant operations
  • Database Experience (SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience with Siemens Industrial Controls
  • Excellent cross-discipline communication skills both written and verbal
