Plastic Machine Operator (Injection Molding) - Various Shifts - Oregon

As our Plastic Machine Operator specializing in Injection Molding, you'll set up, operate and adjust the plastic manufacturing machine and auxiliary equipment. You'll fill out the required documentation. You'll also disassemble, clean and reassemble the loading system, tooling, molds and other necessary auxiliary equipment and fine-tune process parameters until parts are within specification and cycle times. In addition, this opportunity also involves continuously monitoring operating conditions and inspecting finished parts.

 

We currently have an opening on the following shifts:

• Day 1 shift: 5:30am to 5:30pm on Tuesdays through Thursdays and every other Monday
• Day 2 shift: 5:30am to 5:30pm on Fridays through Sundays and every other Monday
• Night 1 shift: 5:30pm to 5:30am on Tuesdays through Thursdays and every other Monday
• Night 2 shift: 5:30pm to 5:30am on Fridays through Sundays and every other Monday

Requirements for the position include:

• High School diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• 2 years experience within manufacturing or related environment 
• Experience setting up and changing over Injection Molding machines 
• Familiarity with Arburg Injection Molding machines preferred but not required
• Previous machine set-up and troubleshooting skills preferred
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds
• Knowledge of basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
• Able to utilize torque wrenches and various other hand tools while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more
• Able to identify and distinguish product clarity and apparent defects while monitoring the product process
• Available to work at least one of the shifts listed.
• Ability to pass a standard 7 year background check and drug screen
