Senior Programmer (Government)

AT&T - OAKTON, Virginia

Seeking a candidate to fill a Sr. Programmer position to support an Intelligence Community contract. Candidate will be a key member of a team responsible for the integration of enterprise management solutions implemented on Windows and Linux systems server technology configured in a virtual environment for multiple service applications.

  • Candidate provides technical expertise in developing, deploying, and managing solutions for clients business needs.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
  • Writes code in multiple high-level languages and compiles the code for multiple OS/CPU combinations.
  • Capable of writing custom code; does not need to rely upon pre-existing code libraries and modules.
  • Must be able to interface a program with major database back ends, e.g., Sybase, Oracle, Access.
  • Need to accept input from and send output to a web-based XML or HTML front end.
  • Provides technical guidance and skills in support of information systems development and integration efforts.
  • Serve as a technical lead for a task or project.
  • Functional Analyst who meets with functional proponents, contracting officer's representative (COR) and technical staff to coordinate efforts, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance for meeting COR and functional proponent requirements.
  • Plans, conducts and coordinates major programming applications of considerable complexity requiring a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the application.
  • Provides technical advice and consultation on complex programming applications.
  • Organizes and directs the execution of broad programming projects.
  • Provides analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of multiple, inter-linked programs.
  • Recommends and develops programming and documentation standards. Prepares cost analysis and justification for programming projects.
  • May act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership for lower level employees.
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field plus 2 years experience or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years experience or Associate's Degree/technical school certificate in Computer Science and 15 years experience.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • US citizenship is required.
