The primary responsibility of the Site Manager is to support sales and service at a major customer account for PPG Automotive OEM Coatings.
Additional responsibilities include.
- Direct 3-4 person technical service team.
- Maintaining responsibility for the successful profitability of an OEM plant paint product lines from electro-coat to topcoat, through the organization, management, implementation, communication and planning of PPG personnel and products to achieve maximum customer service and product performance.
- Meeting agreed upon goals for sales, business growth, expense control, and others. Gathering competitive information and devises strategies to ensure PPG's success. Developing people, directs activities to improve performance.
- Identify and resolve problems with various customers and prepares accurate business plans including forecasts.
- Managing inventory programs, sample programs, and new product introduction programs.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in coatings sales and service.
- Experience with automotive product requirements and in managing technical service, product development and customer relations at diverse accounts also required.
Required Skills:
- Experience with building relationships with a new customer is desirable.
- Must have record of problem solving and new business development.
- Ability to direct technical service team a must.
- Must be able to develop accurate business plans and forecasts; understand and capable of applying SPC.
