 Senior Category Manager - Mooresville, NC   
 
Assist the PPG/Olympic Lowe’s Account Team in their accountabilities for Lowe’s US and Lowe’s Canada.
 
Primary Accountabilities:  
  • Analyze PPG/Olympic product and productivity performance  
  • Gather/analyze information for competitive product and programs
  • Evaluate retail pricing and ad tracking in the marketplace
  • Interface with plan-o-gram (POG) department to ensure proper space allocation on shelf
  • Manage product introduction/exit process including buybacks, product life cycle, and logistical concerns
  •  Work alongside customer and national accounts teams to translate customer insights into strategies which drive performance.
  •  Effectively manage a Category Manager direct report
  • Support the PPG/Olympic Lowe’s Account Team in the preparation of:
    • Product line reviews  
    • Analysis of program/category performance  
    • Field sales directives  
    • Monthly sales and demand forecasting  
    • Promotional calendar  
    • Product mix management  
    • Marketplace gap analysis  
    • Develop/oversee special projects as directed.

Requirements:  

  • 4-Year Undergraduate degree, 6-8 years of business experience  
  • Demonstrated background in business analytics  
  • Strong presentation skills (development and delivery) 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with external and internal customers  
  • Extensive knowledge of the utilization of Databases and Excel  
  • Retail experience, especially in home center channel is desirable, not required
