The Aviation Tech MTS I supports maintenance operations for the Bell Helicopter CV-22 Program at Cannon AFB in Clovis, NM (supporting Structures). This position may require travel to other sites in support of helicopter operations.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft system and structures.
  • Perform operations/functional checks, troubleshooting.
  • Fabricate parts as required.
  • Evaluate damage and perform applicable repair.
  • Applicant selected will be subject to a security pre-screening with a subsequent government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.  A Secret security clearance will be required.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Trade School Certification is preferred.
Position Requirements:
 

·         4 years experience working on military and/or commercial aircraft is preferred.

·         FAA A&P License is preferred. If not currently licensed, completion of FAA A&P licensing is required within one year of hire date. Pay for this position is commensurate with licensing.

·         Must have the ability to work with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and government technical directives.

·         Knowledge of ground support equipment used to support helicopter operations is required.

·         Must have an aptitude for review and validation of aircraft technical manuals and support maintainability demonstrations as required.

·         Must have aircraft structures and composite repair experience. 

·         Must have the ability to fabricate parts as required.

·         Must have the ability to evaluate damage and perform applicable repair.

·         Must have the ability to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft structures and systems.

·         Must possess the ability and attitude to work in a team environment, and must possess good communications skills.

·         Rotary Wing maintenance experience on medium/heavy helicopters is preferred.

·         Experience in U.S. Air Force maintenance and corrective action procedures is preferred.

·         Current security clearance is preferred.
