VP, Lease Administration

Position Summary:

Our Lease Administration platform supports a diverse set of client needs from basic management of lease abstractions and critical dates to full financial management of landlord invoices and reconciliation audits.  We provide comprehensive knowledge and access to data across the portfolio that enables our clients to make strategic real estate decisions that support and enhance their core business.
 
Our Vice President, Lease Administration is responsible for the management, leadership and support of all account delivery functions assigned within the Americas Lease Administration service line.  Specific areas of responsibility include developing, contributing to the strategic vision, identifying new and efficient methods, supporting the JLL Corporate Solutions and Lease Administration platform and initiatives and supporting overall financial, operational and client relations objectives.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
AMERICAS LEASE ADMINISTRATION DELIVERY

  • Contribute to short- and long- term organizational planning and strategy as a member of Americas Lease Administration’s Senior Leadership Team.
  • Provide leadership for the development and implementation of special projects, new initiatives and innovations across the service line based on the key strategic goals for Lease Administration and to drive projects to optimize services delivery.
  • Document and share best practices and participate in efforts to documents and strengthen internal controls and improve data and service quality.
  • Support transitions for new clients, working directly with the Lease Administration Transition and Account Delivery Teams to ensure appropriate integration in to the ongoing business structure.
  • Work with assigned Account Managers and Account Delivery teams to ensure knowledge sharing and cooperation between the teams and all employees. Encourage teamwork.  Support delivery teams to ensure or exceed all performance indicators, internal and client.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key client representatives in region.
  • Participate in Americas Corporate Solutions programs and initiatives representing Lease Administration and actively contribute to the success of such programs, including interfacing with other services lines to support integrated platform delivery.
 
LEASE ADMINISTRATION SALES
  • Identify opportunities to extend contract relationships with clients, e.g. expanding portfolios under management, extending range of services, extending contract term.  Work with responsible account leadership to ensure that contracts are current at all times and that appropriate renewal strategies are in place.
  • Support sales efforts by developing pricing and proposal support materials and providing demonstrations of our process and technology capabilities.
  • Manage special projects related to client engagement and new business efforts.

  • Sound judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, tenacity and the flexibility to operate independently in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Ability to interpret complex commercial lease and contract language
  • Ability to clearly define and articulate time lines and drive compliance
  • Proven ability to employ holistic approaches and look at long term solutions
  • Ability to work within multiple cultures
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of identifying potential issues pro-actively and formulating solutions and contingency plans
  • Process Management experience or demonstrated skills, results driven, with the ability to analyze, act, and implement to ensure we achieve desired results
  • Strong leadership, organizational and execution skills.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CPA a plus
  • 15 or more years of industry experience in the corporate real estate environment – with at least 10 years of experience in Lease Administration, Real Estate Accounting, Transactions or Property Management
  • Prior supervisory experience managing multiple teams
