The Global Supply Chain Trainee Accelerated Development Program provides trainees the appropriate training and learning experiences that will prepare them for their first career position within the Company. The various parts of the program include the following:

•An orientation to our Company and Division, including visiting the corporate headquarters in Cleveland, OH.

•An overview of the operations within a paint plant, a specialty plant and a distribution service center (warehouse).

•A total Supply Chain overview (from product concept to finished product) through online modules.

•An overview of other support functions including: Accounting, Engineering and Human Resources.

•Transactional Lean, Accelerated Root Cause, Standard Work, and Six Sigma Training.

 

The Human Resources Trainee will also be assigned tasks and work on projects that will allow them to learn about the many different areas within the Human Resources function including:   Recruitment & Selection, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, HR Administration, Training & Development and Safety.  At the end of the program, all trainees will come together again for additional trainee development activities, including competency training, presentations and graduation activities.    Target Jobs for the Human Resources Trainee includes: Human Resources Coordinator or Human Resources Generalist.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future

Must have a four year Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.8

Must be willing to relocate after graduation and upon completion of the trainee program

Must have experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point

 

Other Qualifications:

Previous Sherwin-Williams internship/co-op experience is strongly preferred

Other Human Resources internship/co-op experience is preferred

A degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred

Demonstrated leadership skills

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Problem solving ability

Organizational and time management skills

Project Management skills
