Bookkeeper (Part-Time, 20 Hours / Week)

Position Summary:
Job Title: Bookkeeper
Reporting To (title): General Manager, Retail Mall
Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will provide accounting support for the property management team, and function as a key member of the management team.
Job Responsibilities:
Receivable
- Make collections calls
- Enter cash receipts
- Enter billing adjustments
- Perform tenant ledger reconciliations
- Enter invoices
- Ensure proper audit trail and supporting documentation
- Maintain sales information
- Collect sales reports
- Enter sales into accounting system
- Review leases and leasing activity on permanent leases and ensure accurate billing
- Review and/or calculate additional charges as applicable
- Coordinate with HR/Payroll Dept. in reporting weekly, vacation and sick hours
- Review and maintain department employee assignments and time allocations
- Assist the property accountant as needed
- Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.
Education / Training
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- Associate’s degree in accounting is preferred.
- 2-3 years bookkeeping experience in a retail environment.
- Microsoft Office product knowledge, Excel and real estate accounting software preferred.
- Sitting at the computer for long periods of time
