Color Developer

As the GLAM Color Developer, you will be part of the Global Apparel Materials Color Development Team that is partnering with Category Teams and Color Design to execute their seasonal color direction. You will help to design and develop tools and processes to support color execution for Nike Apparel. You will facilitate and track lab dips for seasonal initiatives and identify and address key issues and challenges in color development. You will ensure on time development according to critical dates and gates. In this role you will have the opportunity to interact with business teams involved in design, materials, product merchandising, product creation, material manufacturing and product integrity. Color should be your passion!


• Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel/Textile design or a related field and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
• 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity
• Understanding of the application of color on materials
• Knowledge of apparel and material construction, including garment construction
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
• Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen
• Familiar with current apparel trends including color and design
• Self-starter attitude and the ability to be a team player within a fast paced team
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with InDesign or Photoshop is a plus
• Occasional travel (global and domestic) may be required
