As our Print Logistics Manager, you will develop, execute, and manage Nike’s global print strategy. You will drive and own delivery of services and support for daily operations and strategic initiatives. You will provide leadership and drive industry best practices for the corporate print environment globally. Proactively manage printer fleet operations including strategic long term planning, fleet and service contracts (negotiations/compliance), on-site vendor support team, supplies, printer moves. Identify and quantify cost reduction opportunities.
You will analyze user print behavior and usage, manufacturer and model assessment, device types (BW, color, mfp, etc.) Measure printing costs including consumables, print volume, device break-fix/ maintenance and overhead costs. Utilize these factors to establish total cost of ownership and strategic placement of appropriate device. Develop education resources for end users and create support for the printer strategy program. Create a divestiture strategy and schedule replacement of devices as they become cost ineffective, lease expiry, or as the corporation changes.
You will develop effective working relationships with Nike clients; provide expertise and be a resource on printer placement, usage and modifications. Analyze requests and consult with users to understand business/department print needs and incorporate those needs through innovative solutions, fiscal awareness and alignment with Nike’s print strategy guidelines. Respond timely and effectively to inquiries and concerns.
Accountabilities: Strategy
- Align with global team, Nike Sourcing, customer and suppliers to build global print infrastructure services roadmaps for Global End User Services. Incorporate customer feedback to ensure service value is maximized.
- Collaborate with global team and supplier to develop a strategy to enable end user productivity
- Collaborate with Nike Technology customers to ensure we define and deliver appropriate infrastructure services to support strategic initiatives and growth of our print services globally.
- Collaborate with team mates around the globe to align on services and approach to maximize value
- Develop plans and roadmaps globally which represent team priorities
Business Relationship Management
- Understand end user requirements, and know how to enable those requirements wherever employees work rather locally or internationally.
- Work closely with other technology leaders to guide technology decisions to ensure the use of standard, scalable and sustainable infrastructure.
- Provide visibility to health of infrastructure, opportunities for investment, and risks
- Support business critical milestones and events with appropriate service and support
Team and Vendor Management
- Provide leadership and act as a decision-making, problem-solving resource to on-site contractor team. Solicit feedback and respond timely to inquiries and concerns. Build and maintain a team environment that inspires, motivates, challenges and reflects a positive atmosphere.
- Communicate operational objectives and division/department business goals to ensure understanding, successful execution and follow through of responsibilities. Hold regular meetings. Assign duties and special projects appropriately to ensure equitable distribution of work; monitor volumes and effectiveness and implement changes when necessary to achieve desired results.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers. Maintain fair and ethical standards and adhere to procurement policies and practices. Influence and promote measures to ensure incorporation of diversity among consultants, contractors and vendors.
