Warehouse Lead

This position oversees and directs the daily activities of shuttle drivers. Organize and maintain the general condition of the warehouse, ensures proper preventative maintenance and repairs on all vehicles in the local fleet. Examines both incoming and outgoing shuttle sheets for accuracy. Functions as back-up driver when circumstance demands. Interacts with management, store personnel, technicians and customers for shuttle service issues, questions and communications. Ensures that routes are being managed as efficiently as possible. Share in Service group performance goals.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist drivers in loading and unloading shuttle trucks
- Check drivers in and out daily
- Schedule regular maintenance for trucks PM
- Maintain vehicle file for each truck
- Maintain weekly and montly vehicle inspections on each truck and driver
- Insure that each driver practices Product Respect
- Make daily rounds through warehouse to inspect outgoing units for any problems (daily)
- Inspect incoming shelves for proper tagging (daily)
- Maintain warehouse; staging of product, warehouse cleanliness, floor sealing
- Make recommendations on aging units (weekly)
- Make recommendations for needed improvement on equipment, shop etc
- Responsible for driver's attendance/tardiness and compliance with company guidelines
- Prior shuttle and/or warehouse experience required
- Must be flexible with regards to shop overtime when needed
- Must be able to operate a 24 foot straight truck with lift gate
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- Must be self starter and dependable
- Excellent phone and interpersonal skills
- Must have and maintain clean driving record
- Detail oriented and organized

- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment
