Position Summary:
Summary:
The Facility Manager, Soft Services will have a primary focus on managing and maintaining performance, processes and quality standards for key services: 24/7 cleaning / custodial, landscaping, solid waste / recycling management, pest control and Customer Event Management. The Facility Manager, Soft Services will strive to deliver flexible levels of service based on customer needs, assist with lowering cost of delivery, and works with suppliers to integrate the service into operations while dramatically enhancing the customer experience. The Facility Manager, Soft Services will own the effective participation in quality assurance programs, and drive towards a higher level of cleanliness as well as achieve maximum scoring metrics as stipulated in both Client and Vendor contracts. The Facility Manager, Soft Services is responsible for day to day operations and leadership of client services for a large portfolio site consisting of >10M SF and 12k+ customer population. The Facility Manager, Soft Services is the primary owner of the client relationship and interacts on a continuous basis with customers. The Client property is located in Washington County, Oregon on three campuses with over 500 total acres.
Responsibilities:
Follow all JLL / client safety, work planning and EHS programs. Identify safety hazards within the site and incorporate the remediation of such hazards into work plans to ensure that the building’s staff and occupants work in a safe environment.
Experience managing large facilities service contracts, including custodial, landscaping, roads / grounds, and building maintenance.
Ability to be flexible and work well both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and assignments under severe time constraints and changing priorities. Proven knowledge of typical procurement practices, contract management, payment of goods and services, including cost controls, budgeting, and accounting.
Demonstrate the ability to accurately analyze performance metrics to identify trends and make sound data based decisions / recommendations.
Closely support the client and Jones Lang LaSalle Sourcing and Facility Management teams to drive both immediate and sustained benefits to the client.
Key liaison with field and property management personnel.
Establish relationship with Account Contract and Finance departments to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with standard or other contract changes are formally reviewed and approved by legal/risk management.
Establish work priorities, assign deliverables and resolve issues with Operations and Project teams, temporary help and/or project-specific dedicated personnel to assure client satisfaction.
Work in cooperation with Finance and the field to ensure that financial transactions are processed in an orderly and timely fashion-goal to ensure invoice amounts are correct and paid on time.
Requirements:
At a minimum, must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facility Management, Finance or Communications or, ten or more years of related work experience, including five in a supervisory experience.
Must have a strong background in people management, supplier performance management, waste sustainability practices and Landscape / Wetland maintenance.
Excellent inter-personal skills, organization skills, strong analytical ability
Excellent communication skills – oral and written
Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e., Windows, Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, FrontPage, Project and Outlook).
