Position Summary:
Research Intern, Raleigh
The Research Intern will be a temporary part-time (approximately 20 hours per week for six months) member of the Americas Industrial research team and will provide auxiliary data support. The position will be based in Raleigh, NC and no significant travel will be required. The role will have the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Content development & visual depictions of data & analysis
- Understanding, consolidating and analyzing data from spreadsheets
- Creating dashboards, reports and charts in Excel
- Maintains and updates existing databases with the end-goal of achieving data quality and accuracy
- Responsible for specific areas of database information, including compiling statistics and tracking select companies’ distribution center locations
- Work closely with a national manager in supporting ongoing projects
- Occasionally assist with preparation of client deliverables and presentations
- 20 hours per week schedule for two semesters or 6 months; could be a permanent part-time job
Experience and qualification requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in business, economics or related field degree with excellent academic credentials; current students will also be considered
- Interest in data analytics
- Interest in commercial real estate research analysis
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
- Highly proficient in Excel, database management and Web-related searches
- Ability to work independently and within a team structure
- Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
- Experience with CoStar and other commercial real estate databases and analytics is a plus
- A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative and driven professional environment
