Footwear Material Data Analyst

Nike - Portland, OR

NIKE’s footwear material planning team is seeking a data analyst to run & optimize our material forecasting tool and process and support material analytics requests. Key responsibilities would include:

1) Material Forecast SME – this role is responsible for the entire forecasting process:
a. Collecting & validating usage information from the PCCs (footwear factories)
b. Issue resolution: IT challenges or fielding questions and solving issues from suppliers & internal stakeholders.
c. System Upgrades & Modifications: Partnering with support teams to create forecast enhancements.
d. Key contact working with GFP (Global Footwear Planning) counterparts to receive and interpret finished good data fluctuations and its impact on the material forecast.

2) Leather, Synthetics, Poly-Chem, and Category-Eng Materials – planning, forecasting, and reporting support.

3) Material System Tool Building and Analytics:
a. Supporting the larger material organization & NIKE Inc. by creating and publishing a variety of system & Tableau based material tools & relied upon monthly analytics.
b. Serving as the material data/systems POC: PCCs, suppliers, material dev & sourcing, footwear development, chemical engineering, procurement, customs, etc.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Supply Chain, Business or Data Administration or related field required, with 2-5 years of additional experience.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization, forecasting, and information system reporting required.
• Data visualization software, (i.e. Tableau), SQL, and/or scripting language experienced preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are required (Pivot Tables, Look-Up Tools, and Macros/VBA).
• Passion for sports/footwear.
• Experience in materials preferred.
