Nike Global Brand Innovation leverages consumer insights and marketing
expertise to identify opportunities and strategies that will drive innovation
creation and brand activation. The Brand Innovation Insights Director will
report to the Senior Insights Director and will partner with functions across Brand
Marketing, Brand Planning, Strategic Planning and Innovation.
The role will be based at Nike headquarters in Beaverton, OR, and will
involve periodic travel. Expected travel is 15-20%.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
Consumer,
Culture and Business Insights
· Drive
initiatives that frame key shifts in consumer, culture and business
· Manage
the consumer insights and cultural context material that feed the Global Brand
Corporate Strategic Planning process
· Execute
special projects involving consumer insights and brand innovation communication
· Work
with internal and external partners to ensure Brand Innovation is consistently
receiving and leveraging the latest and most relevant consumer, cultural, and
business trends available
Strategic
Brand Planning
· Manage
the Brand Innovation Corporate Strategic Planning process, working with the
team to identify and articulate the consumer truths to influence strategic
priorities
· Support
strategic analysis and development of product positioning and innovation
portfolio management and communications
· Help
establish and manage a plan for Brand Innovation to effectively input at key
organizational checkpoints
· Execute
on special projects involving consumer and brand best practices
·
10 years in a Marketing, Consumer Insights or Strategy role
· Experience
in implementing a range of research methods
· Experience
conducting and moderating qualitative research
· Experience
conducting global research initiatives
· Sound
judgment and ability to provide information toward the determination of policy
and strategy
· Knowledge
and passion for product innovation and value of consumer insights to create the
future
· Strong
verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and
presentations
· Ability
to effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to
a wide and diverse audience
