As our Senior Director of the Finance & Strategy Program Management Office (PMO), you will provide overall oversight of the functional portfolio and end-to-end management of project scope, cost and timelines, while ensuring maximum value creation through our PMO Center of Excellence (COE) and Program Delivery teams. The PMO brings together Project Management, Transition Management and Communication expertise. Strong leadership identity, experience managing large transformational programs and team development skills are a must. This role reports to the Senior Director of Finance Strategy & Operations and is an integral member of the Finance & Strategy Leadership Team.
Essential Job Functions
Define, implement and maintain the Program Management COE:
Establish and maintain best practices and standardized frameworks, tools and operational processes related to project management, transition management, communications, resource planning, vendor management, and reporting
Create and execute a communications strategy to address executive to front-line employees
Develop and oversee the transition management strategy and monitor progress against transition objectives, including the development of innovative and sustainable training methodologies that supports and enables future-state methods of operation o Lead structured reviews of the investment portfolio
Ensure compliance with standardized practices and policies
Drive continuous improvement from after-action reviews and sharing of best practices
Provide advisory/training services to the Program Execution team
Manage and execute the investment portfolio:
Design and manage program structure, schedule and resource allocation model including direction and integration of multiple projects (dependencies, shared resources and common objectives) to ensure all activities are aligned and optimized to bring maximum value to Nike
Adhere to program management procedures and processes to enable projects to deliver against the defined project goals and scope on time, on budget and with planned benefits
Build strong, senior internal partnerships to foster collaboration, strategic alignment and integrated planning and execution
Influence scope, timing and sequencing of in-flight functional programs and initiatives to align with the enterprise and functional strategic agenda
Enable effective, efficient working relationship with related and assigned teams (e.g., information technology, cross-functional PMOs)
Identify scope, change, issue and risk management; facilitate mitigation through relevant stakeholders and governance processes
Ensure compliance with corporate governance and reporting requirements, including the development of appropriation requests and annual operating plans
Define, implement and monitor metrics and KPIs to report project status and ensure ongoing strategic alignment with short and long-term functional objectives

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related field; MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred
A minimum 10 years of relevant experience in leading and managing large-scale programs in either a technology, program management, management consulting, strategy or a related field. This should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or as a leader in a functional role.
Proven background and experience in process re-engineering and system implementations, preferably in a Global Finance environment
Expert level understanding of program management, transition management and program communications, including formal training in project management methodologies, and/or certifications; lean process design experience preferred
Proven track record of being results oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
Proven abilty to lead, coach, drive and inspire teams, both direct reports and within large cross functional projects
Demonstrated success in program execution in a results-driven environment, and accountability of deadlines and value delivery
Ability to drive large-scale change/projects and lead enterprise-wide transition management efforts
Demonstrated expertise working in highly matrixed organizations leveraging cross-functional integration/relationships to influence successful outcomes
Deep understanding of application and execution of program metrics and KPI’s
Budget management experience of a multi-million dollar investment portfolio
Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
