Position Summary:
OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate has a valid Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) in addition to having a Universal Refrigerant license. Candidate must enjoy working as part of a team, within a structured environment, with a strong emphasis on safety, planning and documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The ideal candidate has a valid Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) in addition to having a Universal Refrigerant license. Candidate must enjoy working as part of a team, within a structured environment, with a strong emphasis on safety, planning and documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Using computer programs to track work.
- Manage facilities equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance.
- Order parts.
- Monitor the operation and make pre-emptive adjustments on refrigeration equipment, heat exchangers, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, hot water systems, chilled water, boilers, pumps, valves, piping and filters - other mechanical and electrical equipment (any infrastructure systems and equipment that may be applicable).
- Special projects occasionally come up, including scheduled maintenance shutdowns. Once up to speed, all facilities maintenance techs take turns being on call (average 1 week out of 12).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus.
- Basic computer literacy required.
- Ability to use Microsoft programs like Outlook, Word and Excel is a plus.
- The job requires using other proprietary or specialized programs (on-the-job training provided).
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must not be afraid of or unhappy about filling out paperwork and tracking information
