Material Handler

Position Summary:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform inventory picks and distribution of materials.
- Support dispensing and manufacturing operations by providing supplies to be used in production.
- Responsible for picking requested materials and supporting Kanban process.
- Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of materials on hand at all times.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year working in BioPharma or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Prior experience in a regulated warehouse adhering to cGMP policies and procedures within the biopharmaceutical industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and able to present information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong Computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with S.A.P. a plus.
- Team player, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written formats with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Attention to detail is required for handling sensitive biotech related materials and proper distribution to manufacturing areas.
- Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for deliveries throughout manufacturing facility and gown for cleanroom access as applicable.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Will be required to train on and operate Powered Industrial Vehicles i.e. Forklift, Reach truck, electric pallet jack, etc.
