WD C Business Process Excellence Program Manager

As Program Manager within WD C Business & Technology Process Excellence, you will plan, drive and deliver business programs and change initiatives in support of WD C’s strategic agenda.  You will manage all project/program responsibilities, including intake and prioritization, scoping, resourcing, team facilitation, progress tracking, risk identification, issue resolution, delivery and outcomes.  Leveraging the organization’s capability model, you will ensure program solutions address people, process, technology and capability issues. In our highly cross-functional matrixed organization, this role will rely heavily on collaboration, communication, and the management of interconnected dependencies and shared resources. Your leadership will drive organizational effectiveness, process efficiency and the operationalization of strategic initiatives across WD C.


Key Job Accountabilities

  • Leads WHQ’s complex projects or programs to achieve milestones and objectives by leveraging WD C program management methodology, the Global Delivery Framework.
  • Develops strategy and action plans for large-scale end-to-end program execution.  Ensures program is aligned to business strategies.
  • Plans and manages implementation of all aspects of the projects/programs including project objectives, scope, planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, risk management, forecasting and cost control.
  • Establishes and maintains cross-functional coordination of the program team (including Design, Space Planning, Transition Management/Communications, Move management, etc.).
  • Leads stakeholder relationship management.
  • Ensures vendor contracts, relationships, performance and communications are well managed.
  • Maintains ultimate responsibility regarding program objectives, operating within financial and resource constraints.  Manages issue escalation and resolution.
  • Manages project dependencies within the program and builds the program team, including stakeholder management.
  • Ensures proper project management staffing for all projects within the program

Job Requirements for this position include:                                                                       
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience leading and managing large programs and guiding them through corporate governance processes.
  • Program/project management certification or comparable experience leading globally prioritized programs at enterprise scale. 
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • Preferred background in real estate, architecture, construction or services program management
  • Masters of Business or Finance degree preferred
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Proven success record in communicating and influencing senior business leaders, clients and peers
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to navigate a complex, cross-functional team and/or organization
  • Proven track record of being results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
  • Understanding of Nike's competitive market, customers and retail trends is highly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to elicit information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully and manage and resolve conflict
  • Proven ability to develop clear presentations and confidently facilitate large, diverse groups.
  • Expertise in building alignment across business partners and influencing outcomes
  • Must excel in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
  • Experience working with remote teams required
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively in an ambiguous environment
