Job summary:
This position will prepare shipping documents for both domestic and international shipments, and support warehouse operations by packing/shipping/receiving/other items as required.
Position responsibilities:
Prepare AES/EEI filing, work with freight forwarders, create packing lists, shipping labels, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and open work orders, schedule pickups, and check availability of parts for shipment
Work closely with Sales to receive and release edits for customer orders
Timely reporting and documentation of completed shipments or material/parts issued
Appropriately label containers/items to be shipped
Ability to work with various departments to ensure needs are met
May coordinate route and carrier selection
May provide information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies, and record entry of finished products to corresponding warehouse
May assist with or perform other tasks (AES/EEI filing, working with freight forwarders, creating shipping labels/bills of lading/commercial invoices, and scheduling pickups)
Position requirements
2 years or more of experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing, or inventory
Experience with MS Excel and Word
Education requirement
High school diploma or equivalent required
Degree in supply chain or related field may be a plus
Preferred:
Ability to file haz mat documents for domestic and international shipments
Ability to follow Global Trade Compliance guidelines on export classification
Ability to run reports in Visual
Ability to assist with projects across departments if required
