North America Distribution Center Training Manager - Multiple Facilities

As the North America DC Training Manager, you’ll lead and manage learning and development strategies that create a clear competitive advantage for the business. You’ll manage and end to end learning and development support function. You’ll partner with business leaders to improve human performance and organizational effectiveness and consult with senior leadership on organizational performance requirements based on employee demographics, skill inventories, business strategies and challenges. You’ll analyze data, extrapolate critical factors and make appropriate recommendations to improve current and future organizational performance and business results.  You’ll support staff selection and manage direct and indirect design, development, and delivery project team resources. You’ll manage external contractors/vendors to ensure development of high quality, timely and effective instructional materials/programs.  You’ll drive the measurement/assessment processes, analyze the results and determine appropriate solutions. You’ll manage the development of measurable learning solutions based on analysis of individual and organizational performance gaps identified in partnership with senior business management. You’ll manage the delivery and deployment of a variety of learning solutions and formats to address individual and organizational performance gaps. You’ll oversee the development of trainers through workshops and one-on-one coaching. You’ll oversee the facilitation of training classes and learning forums on functional skill building for all band levels. You’ll also create a learning atmosphere, which appeals to a variety of learning styles and needs. In addition, you’ll revise materials as needed to reflect changes in business goals and strategies.  


  • Bachelor’s degree in Training, Human Resource, Education, Organizational Design or a related field
  • 5 years’ experience in design, delivery and evaluation of training programs
  • 2 years’ additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 4 years’ management experience and proven capacity to set strategic direction and lead teams through high-profile projects
  • Ability to influence and work with senior management and knowledge of adult learning theory, HPI techniques and systems thinking and the ability to apply them when developing training programs
  • Work related experience conducting needs assessments and tracking results and return on investment
