Provides leadership and daily oversight for department activities, and oversee budgetary milestones and deliverables for Component Repair & Overhaul department
Ensure department’s compliance with all internal (ex. repair station procedures, Bell and Textron policies) and external requirements (ex. FAA and other governmental regulations, customer specifications)
Drive accountability for on time delivery of all department activities, and facilitate the planning, scheduling, coordinating, capacity analysis, training, and resources of operations personnel in department
Responsible to increase department efficiency and minimize operational costs and delays
Monitor skill levels within the workforce and ensure adequate training, development, and competence of personnel
Inspire and develop talent
Network with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts
Interface with customers and maintain open communication concerning project status
Oversee and manage preparation, review, and approve quotes for department activities; direct billing procedures; and oversee review of purchase order requests
Performs other duties as directed
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Operations, Business or a related field
Master's Degree in Business and/or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Position Requirements:
6 years progressive responsibility in business operations, manufacturing management, or repair and overhaul services
Experience in Talent Development and process/program management
Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations and how they apply to activities within the department
Experience in leading process improvement preferred
