Position Summary:
Position: HVAC/Facility Mechanic
Major Activities/Responsibilities
- PM and repair HVAC equipment throughout facility
- Operation of chillers, boilers, cooling towers and air compressors
- Facility maintenance of the building and grounds including but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and life safety fire equipment, snow removal, water treatment plant and emergency response
- High School or Equivalent
- College Degree or Trade School/Apprenticeship completion in appropriate discipline
- Industrial experience HVAC 10 years minimum
- Industrial experience facility maintenance 10 years minimum
- Ability to comprehend oral and written communication
- Basic computer skills
- Be able to read and comprehend wiring and pneumatic schematics
- Be able to operate industrial vehicles
- Possess CFC universal license
- Be self-motivated and perform challenging tasks with little or no supervision
- NFPA 70-E (arc flash) trained
- Be able to work in inclement conditions
- Be able work in multiple body positions standing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Work from ladders or elevated platforms or roofs
- Be able to use hand or power tools
