Bookkeeper

Position Summary:
SUMMARY
The Bookkeeper will provide accounting support for the property management team, and function as a key member of the management team. The responsibilities include customer service interaction with shoppers and tenants. Additionally, this position will provide support for Marketing and community events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
- Make collections calls
- Enter cash receipts
- Enter billing adjustments
- Perform tenant ledger reconciliations
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
- Enter invoices
- Ensure proper audit trail and supporting documentation
- Maintain sales information
- Collect sales reports
- Enter sales into accounting system
LEASE ANALYSIS
- Review leases and leasing activity on permanent leases and ensure accurate billing
- Review and/or calculate additional charges as applicable
PAYROLL
- Coordinate with HR/Payroll Dept. in reporting weekly, vacation and sick hours
- Review and maintain department employee assignments and time allocations
- Assist the property accountant as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, preferred
- 2 – 3 years bookkeeping experience in a retail environment, preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Microsoft Office product knowledge, including Excel
- Real Estate Accounting software, preferred
PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS / CONDITIONS
- Sitting at the computer for long periods of time
