Job Summary
This opening is for someone to monitor and maintain numerous evaporative coolers on multiple buildings across an industrial facility. Applicant will be required to perform maintenance and repairs to the coolers to keep them operating reliably and efficiency, and to track the condition of the coolers.  Evaporative coolers are critical equipment in many locations used extensively year around, their operation and maintenance is essential.  
Job Responsibilities
Maintenance

  • Looking for a “hands on” applicant that has completed a technical refrigeration school that has been trained in motors, electricity, bearings, pumps and water flow.  Individuals are expected to demonstrate a certain degree of technical ability in maintaining all components of an evaporative cooler.
  • Applicant must have some field experience with troubleshooting and repairing.  Additional training, tools, and site transportation is provided.  A clean driver’s license is a must to operate vehicles on the site.   
  • Experience or understanding of 120 V and 480 volt electricity is required, QEW training is preferred.
  • Individuals will be asked to help out other trades such as plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work as needed to keep the site operational or to meet the client’s needs.
  • Work will also require coordinating repairs with various contractors, able to respond to after-hours emergency repair calls, and work scheduled weekend overtime.
Safety
  • Safety procedures must be followed at all times. Training will be provided and all site safety requirements, PPE, and permits must be adhered to.
Computer Skills
  • Extensive computer skills are required to accept and track work orders, time sheets, material purchases, safety training, email, etc.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Education
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Refrigerant Trade School completion desired
Experience
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in HVAC trade performing field work and troubleshooting.
Certifications
  • Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
  • Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • A clean driver’s license is a must to use vehicles on the work site.  
  • Background checks will be performed prior to hiring.
