Overview

Bell Helicopter is currently seeking talented students for an internship opportunity at our Piney Flats, Tennessee facility.  As a Bell Helicopter intern, you will obtain invaluable hands-on technical experience that will help you build the path between your academic and professional careers.  The Bell Helicopter Intern Program is a fundamental part of our talent pipeline and carries the potential for students to return as full-time employees upon completing their degree.

 

Job Summary:

This engineering internship position will assist Project Engineers with various design and development projects. The successful candidate will be assigned responsibility for at least one engineering project in the design of aircraft structural or avionics products. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist project engineers via “hands-on” engineering and design of new products 
  • Use CAD/CAE for engineering drawings and/or analysis of new products
  • Perform secondary research in the successful resolution of engineering problems
  • Lead manufacture and performance test of engineering prototypes

Education:

  • Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Computer Science or an equivalent)
  •  Completed at least 60 credit hours by the time of the internship 
  •  Minimum GPA of 3.0 with at least 60 credit hours already earned by start of the internship

 

Position Requirements:

 

  •  Must be able to fulfill the full length of the Summer Intern Program (May 31, 2017 – August 11, 2017)
  • Technical coursework
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
