Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary:

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support for Site Fire Protection Systems process. All work to be completed to assure minimal impact to production while complying with cGMP, NFPA, FM Global and client’s regulations. Perform intermediate maintenance and operations to support facility, maintenance processes in manufacturing facilities plant. Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/ systems the team is responsible for. Perform various "Housekeeping" activities. (i.e. keeping work areas clean, cleaning of equipment etc. Ensure that operational log paperwork, daily log files, and work order documentation is completed with accurate information. Provide detailed training program in order to develop one's knowledge in the maintenance and operations field and other areas of the plant. All work must be completed in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, and client’s policies. Maintain an up to date cGMP training book. Develop, revise, and review related SOPs for work related areas. Assist in the evaluation of the current maintenance procedures and recommend changes to optimize the maintenance program. Plan and schedule own work activities with operations staff to minimize impact to production activities. Provide basic support of start-up of new equipment to ensure it meets all mechanical design specifications.  Support other functions as assigned.
Qualifications 
Position Specifications:

  • Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience – At least one year working in BioPharma or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Job experience - One year previous experience with excellent communication skills both written and verbal and able to present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Special knowledge and skills – Strong Computer skills with experience with Microsoft office
  • Personal characteristics - Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports and have excellent customer service skills.
  • For internal candidates, must consistently receive a “meets expectations” job performance review.
 
Job Requirements:
• Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.
• Excellent customer service and follow-up skills
