Quality Manager - Multiple Facilities - (Memphis, TN)

As our Quality Assurance (QA) Manager for multiple facilities, you'll establish, implement, and maintain a Quality Assurance System.  The goal of the system is to measure, evaluate, and target improvements for the sustainable business processes that efficiently deliver the right product, to the right customer at the right time. 

The QA Manager will develop the team’s understanding of proactive QA principles and practices through training, coaching, and team building.  He/she will also manage a quality assurance team responsible for the ongoing assessment of current performance and supporting first responders to quality issues.

The successful candidate will manage the collection and reporting of internal and external quality data.  He/she will analyze that data and visually present results to operational leadership in order to identify and influence opportunities for improvement and initiate changes.

The QA Manager will collaborate with internal partners to define and establish customer requirements and with suppliers to ensure the receipt and delivery of consistent quality products. He/she is also responsible for establishing and maintaining document control systems. 

Requirements for this position include:

  • 5 years' experience managing a quality assurance program
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Quality Control or related field (2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree)
  • 3 years of progressive experience leading or managing teams.
  • Experience with LEAN methods and tools
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to coach others using an A3 or DMAIC approach
  • Ability to analyze data using standard statistical techniques and quality tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, to influence process changes and system improvements to better meet customer requirements
  • Previous experience with implementing quality systems, documentation and reporting structures, and conducting ongoing assessments to improve effectiveness
  • Previous experience adapting to rapidly-changing business requirements and a demonstrated high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to develop others through coaching
  • Previous experience within a matrix management is highly preferred
