Position Summary:

Job Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing the operation of the facility’s mechanical and electrical systems along with Soft Services and small project management. The Facilities Supervisor is a medium to senior role and coordinates work duties and takes a hands-on role in operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all systems. Additionally, this position will provide Facility/Project Management support project controls including PO creation, Vendor Engagement and setup, Field walks, Soft Services quality assurance and associated reporting along with work order dispatch as necessary.
Job Responsibilities
Relationship Management

  • Provides direction and support to maintenance technicians within the facility or portfolio (including performance management, coaching, and development)
  • Communicates regularly with JLL Site Manager and attends scheduled staff meetings/calls
  • Act as an interface with client and assist Regional Facility/Project Management Team with tactical planning for the regional facilities team’s goals and objectives
  • Provide direction/information to vendors, facilities staff and service providers as required ensuring excellent coordination/execution of work within client environment with minimal disruption, as needed
Compliance
  • Implements and schedules preventative maintenance standards that are in compliance with JLL and Client guidelines
Process Management
  • Manages and schedules all projects and reviews for accuracy and quality of work performed by technicians and vendors
  • Evaluates vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with Strategic Sourcing with regard to quality and competitive pricing
  • Assist support facility specific cost savings targets to contribute to the account achieving significant savings
Administrative / Analysis
  • Coordinates the scheduling, maintenance, and monitoring of HVAC, water, electric, and other systems to ensure efficient operation with the Client System Owner
  • Maintains a critical parts inventory and monitors it throughout the year
  • Assist with researching, analyzing and reporting budget variances. Work with team members to identify and respond to any financial or budgeting related issues.

Education/training
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in facilities management              
  • Years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • 5+ years industry experience required in a corporate environment or as a third party service provider
Skills and knowledge
  • HVAC systems knowledge required
  • Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong customer service skills are required
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Familiar with computer equipment and programs. Capable of operating a Facility Managing System (FMS)
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • Proficient in MS Office, and possess strong written, verbal and people skills
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced written communication skills (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and verbal communications skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Prioritize and manage the completion of projects in an efficient and timely manner.
