Operates, inspects, and maintains all Wastewater treatment facility, mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy.
Assures that equipment is maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner.
Works to reduce client equipment down time to a minimum by implementing and performing structured preventive, predictive equipment maintenance.
Performs inspections, maintenance and repairs to assigned system components, electronic and electrical controls (HMI Human-Machine-Interface), including electrical distribution panels breakers, switches, relays tanks, pumps, valves, mixers, dissolved flotation clarification, flocculation and coagulation equipment, filter press and material transport and storage equipment
Perform chemical tests to support equipment operation and instrument calibration. (Turbidity, pH, Conductivity, flow, TOC
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and wastewater systems, equipment, and other components.
Perform assigned facility inspections, vendor work and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
Respond effectively to all emergencies.
Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work, and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken.
Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities.
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
Must be willing and able to support any afterhours building related activity as required.
Must be capable of lifting and transporting of heavy objects and equipment
Must be willing to work in ambient conditions and potentially inclement weather.
Comply with housekeeping and cleanliness standards
Attend periodic training seminars
Interacts with external and internal customers with a positive demeanor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School education or equivalent required. Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in technical and chemical aspects of wastewater treatment.
Must have operating experience with electronic CMMS and HMI systems.
Must be a “Qualified Electrical Worker” or able to complete the requirements within 90 days of employment.
The preferred candidate should also have training and experience with chemistry and industrial water treatment.
The candidate must be familiar with and have experience in working around production systems and equipment chemical storage, treatment and distribution equipment.
