Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping. Address necessary changes with warehouse management. Evaluate and problem solve concerns and occurrences daily with sales force to ensure quality of perishable products to our customers. Communicate shortages, refusals and quality issues to purchasing. Oversee incoming product to ensure proper quality and specifications are met and temperature has been properly maintained. Maintain records of incoming product inspections. Train receivers on proper perishable product handling and receiving. Ensure proper rotation of product by training warehouse associates and inspecting perishable items daily.
Work with vendors and purchasing to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Education/Training: High school diploma or GED required
Related Experience: Minimum 3 years Produce or other Perishable Receiving and Inspection Experience Required, Knowledge of USDA Grades and Standards Required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have good oral and written communication skills
