Systems Engineer, High Voltage Battery Controls.

Position Summary:

 

In this position you will work with HV Battery Controls Software Engineers and HV Battery Controls Hardware Engineers in the development of the system requirements and interface requirements for the electronic control module called Battery Energy Control Module (BECM). Responsibilities: Solve system issues during BECM hardware & software development with suppliers and Ford internal teams Responsible for reviewing supplier’s DFMEA. Conduct failure mode analysis of the various hardware features and develop failure mode management strategies in hardware and software Document system requirements internal and external to the BECM Interface with OPD (On-going Product Development) team on BECM warranty issues Coordinate and conduct design verification testing at electronics and vehicle level   Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering 2+ years of hands-on experience with automotive electronic module system (hardware and software.) 2+ years of good working knowledge of Microprocessor based controller design and testing 2+ years of good working knowledge of communication circuits and protocols (e.g. CAN, Serial, etc.)   Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Industry experience in Li-Ion cell balancing technology preferred Electronic manufacturing experience is a plus Excellent teamwork and communication skills Self motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
