Responsibilities:
 

·         Responsible for global switch electrical functional specification (FS)  
·         Document FS in VSEM/WERs
·         Responsible for minimum acceptance functional test
·         Document requirement/tests in FSMS (i.e. corporate engineering test procedures (CETP) linked to requirement – VSEM/WERS Release)
·         Core sign off on FIP reporting, software defect review/rating and tracking
·         Core support/lead team in development of CAN signal definition
·         Core  support/lead for VSCS (EOL method II configuration) signoff
·         Core support/lead for HIL functional testing
·         Core lead for software Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and adherence to Ford and industry standards
·         Provide technical/strategic/tactical input on modeling platform, supplier statements of work, and implementation plans.
·         Support development in house strategy/requirements, common data processing, analysis, and sign off.
·         Aid in troubleshooting component level issues which may be software, electrical, or mechanical in nature.

Minimum Requirements:
 

·         Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science
·         3+ years of experience in Software Systems Engineering and/or Functional Requirements development experience
·         5+ years of experience with C/C++ development
·         5+ years of experience with 8/16/32 bit micro controllers
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Master’s Degree
  • Center, Vector CANape/CANoe, MATLAB, Simulink, and Target link would be helpful
  • 3+ years of familiarity with Automotive SPICE, CMM, or other software development process models
  • 3+ years of knowledge MUX CAN protocol, transmit models, gateway functionality
  • 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge of software lifecycles, inclusive of specification, modeling, simulation, bench testing, vehicle validation, and sign off.
  • Knowledge and experience with systems engineering fundamentals and quality / reliability methods. Including FMEAs, DVP&Rs, warranty indicators.
