IT-Equipment Services Technician

Roles and Responsibilities

• Configure and support windows and Mac computers, Apple and Android cell phones, VoIP phones, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Provision accounts for new users and fulfill requests for permission to network resources and applications.
• Monitor and maintain cellular accounts.
• Provide support for hardware, software, and networking issues both in person and remotely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all IT equipment.
• Purchase IT equipment for corporate locations and stores.
• Assist network and system administrators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred.
•  Previous experience in an IT support role is preferred.
• CompTIA A or other IT related certifications preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Technical proficiency in current versions of Windows, MacOS, and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware configuration and repair
• General understanding of networking
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing; must be able to understand and follow technical diagrams, manuals, and procedures
• Ability to interact with vendors, customers and co-workers in a helpful and professional manner
• Ability to observe and integrate information and new skills via training, observation, and instruction
