Business Development Sales Representative

Position summary

This position is responsible for aftermarket business development and revenue growth initiatives (organic & inorganic) for the Aeronautical Accessories brand

 

Responsibilities
Responsible for global revenue growth initiatives including organic & inorganic growth for Aeronautical Accessories
Assist in any M&A activities
Support the CSS Regional Managers in driving incremental revenue growth through the global fielded base of helicopters
Provide sales plan & forecast data for major accounts
Responsible for providing input towards the development of new products and services. Must perform investigative analysis to determine strategic fit, time to market, and basic business case data. Plays a key role in identifying IR&D priorities.
Prepare sales activity reports and reports monthly sales KPI's
Serve as first level of technical sales support & SME for sales team and customers
Responsible for growing and maintaining customer relationships and developing new revenue streams to grow sales
Responsible for the strategic development of sales proposals. Works with customers to determine needs and proposal specifications. Assures company compliance of sales proposals.
Works collaboratively with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering to ensure product delivery and resolution of customer issues
Must work closely with Finance in the establishment of new customer accounts.
Perform regular on site customer visits
Must work closely with Management in the forecasting of sales, detection of changes in purchasing, operating or forecasting trends and reporting of customer feedback in regards to product quality & functionality
Provide Marketing team with competitive intelligence and helps incorporate that intelligence into business plans to enhance win ratios and sales
Support Pricing & the Manager of Sales in annual catalog pricing review to assure products & services are competitively priced
Attends tradeshows as directed by management
Provides management with annual business reviews of major accounts
Coordinate with RSM's to ensure one Bell voice to the customer. Shares any relevant market/customer intelligence.
Travel 35-45% of the time
Any other duties as assigned by management


Outcomes
Achieve sales goals that are set forth in CSS annual operating plans
$21.2M Trade Revenue for Aeronautical Accessories
Measurable incremental growth into new markets and regions
Execute 1-2 inorganic growth agreements per year
Submit 2-3 product ideas that result in STC developments
Develop sales growth strategy for foreign approvals
Perform to site overhead budget per AOP

Position requirements

10 years in sales/business development/customer support/service

4 year degree in business or related field experience

Experience in sales, business development, new product development and contract negotiation required

Must have excellent oral/written communication skills and be proficient in MS Office applications

 

Preferred

Knowledge of Aeronautical Accessories products and services

Aviation experience

Familiarity with Visual ERP & MS Excel applications
