Vehicle Security Electronics Design and Release Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Act as lead engineer responsible for vehicle body security electronics systems
• Body security systems include Remote Keyless Entry, Passive Entry Passive Start, Keyless Entry Keypad, Perimeter Alarm, Locking, Ignition Immobilizer, Remote Start, Approach Detection, and Electronic Steering Column Lock.
• Evaluate program definition, including feature content, market variation, global regulatory compliance
• Design body security electronics systems to best fit program needs
• Define supplier scope of effort
• Lead security subsystem development, calibration, and validation
• Conduct technical design reviews with interfacing Ford activities, core engineering, and supplier engineering (software, hardware, mechanical)
• Support vehicle testing in wind tunnels, road trips, etc.
• Lead engineering teams to resolve all prototype vehicle issues related to body security system
• Strong  and effective communication and presentation skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 2+ years experience in electronic module applications or development, or feature development in automotive or closely related.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years experience in electronic module applications or development, or feature development in automotive or closely related.
• Familiar with CAN tools (vehicle spy, CANalyzer, CANoe, etc)
