Ford Product Development is seeking engineers to support the Feature/Function TDR process.  Feature/Function TDR Engineer will be responsible for conducting reviews to evaluate the quality of feature/function development, cascade and implementation practices, as well as provide feature/function owners support in developing software/system requirements.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Use Requirement Engineering guidelines and checklists to review spec quality and document issues
  • Verify that the Feature/Function/Component Spec owner conducted proper Peer Review with local SMEs, and the Peer Review results are integrated into the proper deliverables
  • Moderate the Feature/Function specification cascade process. Review cascade list and verify that all issues are closed or have closure actions
  • Review feature/function/component traceability, test spec and test plan quality 
  • Provide feature/function owners support in developing software/system requirements
  • Continuously improve Feature/Function Technical Design Review process
  • Work with specialists from different groups at Ford Motor Company to develop standard checklists and methodologies that help feature/ function owners conduct proper peer reviews
  • Educate feature/function owners about the Requirement Engineering process at Ford, and feature/function quality assurance through Feature/Function TDR process
     
Position Requirements:
 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science.
  • 3 + years of experience in software-enabled feature requirements / specification development
  • 2+ years of experience in the software development of embedded systems
  • 1+ year of experience in the following: Software Architecture Design, with UML, SysML modelling and associated tools ( ex: Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, Rhapsody); and with Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow
  • 1+ years of experience in requirement engineering process and tools

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master Degree a plus
  • Experience in software quality assurance
