Global DI Modeling Software Architect

Position Summary:

The Global DI Modeling Software Architect will Lead or support the invention and creation of new enabling technologies, features, or systems for use in Ford Motor Company global Driver information Vehicle applications. The selected candidate will work closely with the Driver Information core/application team to progress and mature new concepts and ensure deliverables to the downstream development organizations are compliant with expected requirements and deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Making decisions for high level designs to support multiple supplier requirements
  • Perform study and analysis to keep improving the architecture
  • Conduct discussions with all stake holders which will get impacted with design change
  • Collect the requirements from stakeholders and analyze it
  • Create documentations based on analysis
  • Prove out the design decisions
  • Creating presentations for explaining architecture changes
  • Core lead for supplier software TDRs and adherence to Ford and industry standards
  • Provide regular technical/strategic/tactical input on modeling platform, supplier eSOWs, and implementation plans
Basic Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 10+ Years experience in Infotainment, Cluster, Audio, Video & HMI software development
  • 5+ years of Software Architect experience with a background in TIER I industry as well as leading engineering service provider (ESP)
  • 5+ years of experience in SW Architecture background in Infotainment & Cockpit area
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Deep exposure to the NA and EU OEM pioneering in Audio, Video, HMI and High Speed Vehicle Networks
  • Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and Effective communication and Presentation skills as well as the ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
  • Infotainment/Multimedia System or Component Design Experience
  • Hardware Interface design experience
