Position Summary:

 

The Project Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing the fulfillment and implementation requirements for projects.  The PC is an internal quarterback for standard projects working within the Project Services organization in conjunction with, Sales, Design and furniture operations to ensure project details are planned, coordinated according to plan and successfully implemented.  Attends weekly Customer Opportunity Team (COT) meetings; reporting and maintaining project status reports as needed and is accountable to the Project Manager on COT projects as required.  Also, weekly communicates status of assigned standard projects to Sales and Support organization for standard project to which they are assigned. Provides high level sales support including order audit and preparation, collaboration and management of project coordination on assigned standard and advanced projects. Manage post order responsibilities for accounts managed by the COT as well as develop project status updates and communicate to appropriate parties; interact with end user customers; plan and coordinate project execution working closely with Project Manager. Hard scheduling all orders being managed at time of order entry. Ensure project status and potential forecast movement is communicated to the Total Order Management team (TOM) in order to manage billing projection on all assigned projects in line with corporate requirements. 
Manage post order punch list quoting, ordering, tracking and project close out on assigned projects. 
 
PC, as a part of the COT, works closely with Sales to create bid responses that improve our odds of winning. 

Achieve SLA’s and metrics.
 
Primary Duties and  Responsibilities:
 
  • Manages and orchestrates standard projects and participates on COT projects through various phases of the process.
  • For assigned projects, manages the process with vendors to ensure timely receipt of product.
  • Resolve issues and discrepancies, make decisions regarding corrective course of action and execute.
  • Ensure project details are planned, coordinated according to planned and successfully implemented for assigned standard projects.
  • Responsible to ensure all assigned and COT projects are spec checked by at least two parties prior to order submission
  • Manage post order punch list quoting, ordering, tracking and project close for Standard and COT projects
  • Works in field (i.e.- site inspections, field measurements, etc.) as required and directed by PM
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years related professional experience ((Customer Service, Accounting, project coordination or project management)
 
Preferred
  • Strong computer skills; Comprehensive knowledge and experience in MS Office Platform (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project) and working within an Enterprise Order Management System
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; includes customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and manage to a work plan
  • Proficient in MS Office; capable to learn other platforms such as CFS and Salesforce
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
  • Prefer experience in furniture industry;
  • Project Coordination or project management experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience coordinating major events; understand sequential planning
