This position is within Electrified Powertrain Engineering and will be supporting development of control architecture and strategies for conductive/inductive HV battery charging on a global basis.  
 
Responsibilities
 

 

  • Identify and define feature requirements supporting HV battery charging system operation
  • Work with cross-organizational team to functionally partition software features/functions across relevant controllers
  • Understand regulatory requirements and industry standards as they apply to AC, DC, and Inductive vehicle charging; decompose these into requirements for specific micro controllers.
  • Maintain Feature Requirements Specifications that define hardware and software IO, functional requirements, fault management/functional safety, diagnostics, and test cases.
  • Maintain open issues, improvement opportunities/road maps, release history for assigned features
  • Support feature verification in Matlab based models of the HV charging system
  • Support comprehensive diagnostic strategy development for the HV charging subsystem
  • Support cross-functional teams to reconcile requirements from multiple sources.
  • Support verification method development with SW validation team
  • Support cross-organizational efforts to optimize CAN and LIN communication strategies.
Job Requirements:
 
Basic Qualifications: 
 

 
  • B.S. in Electrical/Controls/Systems Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 1 + years experience in projects with embedded-controller software development and/or systems engineering in the automotive or aerospace field desired.
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Hybrid vehicle, battery management system, requirements engineering knowledge desired
  • Highly motivated, and able to manage complex tasks, with a system’s perspective
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required; particularly in the technical domain
