This position is within Electrified Powertrain Engineering and
will take a lead in bench marking, developing, and coordinating software validation efforts for the high voltage battery management controller.  Candidate will support a 6 bench (and growing) hardware-in-the-loop lab, and have cross-organization interfaces with battery pack and vehicle test engineering.
 
Responsibilities:
 

 

  • Identify software validation best practices and global trends (NA, EU, AP)
  • Develop and maintain SW validation operating strategy, including requirements traceability, open issues, health reports, and process documentation
  • Maintain validation-process improvement work plans and road maps; support management reviews
  • Establish independent tester status for the HIL, supporting ISO26262 and internal audit requirements
  • Develop and maintain program-specific SW validation reports
  • Manage validation resources, (bench, test engineers) ensuring customer deliverables are on time
  • Support Version Control System management for test scripts
  • Lead weekly test meeting, including agenda development, weekly HIL/program status reporting, and minutes.
 
Job Requirements:
 
Basic Qualifications: 
 

 
  • B.S. in Electrical/Controls/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5 years’ experience with embedded software development, integration, or planning required.  
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • CMMI, ISO26262 knowledge preferred
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
